        MONTH OF SATISFACTION

          Cheerful greetings in the Matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! In this wonderful month of September God has blessed us with the promise  PSALM 63:5 “ MY SOUL  WILL BE SATISFIED AS WITH THE RICHEST OF FOODS…” I believe, as we find satisfaction in our soul , we will be  satisfied in all the areas of our lives ( III John 2). This month can be christened as the ‘MONTH OF SATISFACTION’.

         There  are so many unsatisfied people around us in today’s world. Dissatisfaction  is the root cause for many of  the sins that people commit. If we read in I Corin 10:10  The people of Israel who were dissatisfied and murmured against god were destroyed as a warning to all of  us..!

         The important question today is Why God’s people live with dissatisfaction? There are 4 main reasons listed below. As you go through the following list allow the Holy Spirit to search your soul so that you will find satisfaction in your soul. 

1.Love of Money. Ecclesiastes 5:10 ‘Whoever loves money will not be satisfied with money.’ As we run behind money the race never ends it consumes our body, soul and mind. Some of the world’s richest men had a pathetic life though they had enough ‘money’ to buy anything in this world. In I Timothy 6:10 we see  “love of money” is a root of all evil. With the help of the Holy Spirit uproot it completely. Then you will find the genuine satisfaction in every area of your life.

2. Pleasure of Sin . Isaiah 55:2  People are destroyed today because they seek satisfaction from wrong sources. Pleasure of  sin will only increase thirst for more of it which ends up in dissatisfaction. Let us be careful about our secret life  & flee away from any kind of  ‘sinful pleasure’.

3.Broken  Cistern. Jeremiah 2:13 “They have rejected God and chosen broken cisterns”. Human love is imperfect. They are like broken cistern.

If we expect love from another human being we will be dissatisfied since No man can love us more than Our lord Jesus. Therefore let us never love anyone more than Jesus. Instead let us love God more than anyone and more than anything. He alone is the Living water that satisfies us.

4. Failing to give priority to the Temple of God. Haggai 1:6-9  The last reason for dissatisfaction in the lives of God’s people is because we neglect the temple of God. When we say we are too busy and don’t spend enough time in the Presence of  God we can never find satisfaction in our personal life. When we say we don’t have time to do any ministry for the Church of  Christ, we fail to build His Temple. May I challenge you to take a decision today to spend at least an hour a week to do a small ministry for God . As you pour out what God has given you into someone’s life you will get more from God and find satisfaction . Prayerfully find out the vassal in whom you can pour the LIVING WATER and take time to minister to them.
